Head of Operations

Umergence is seeking an experienced Head of Operations who can collaborate with teammembers to create budgets and develop business plans. The Head of Operations will also be responsible for helping to update and develop the strategic plan. The ideal candidate for this position possesses proven leadership skills, as well as a strong ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that encourage corporate growth.

 

Head of Operations Responsibilities

Improve and Refine the business processes for each department through analysis and collaboration

Liaising with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals

Get involved in long-term business planning at the managerial and executive level

Collaborate with department management to develop financial plans

Analyze the performance of support functions for departments such as human resources and make recommendations for improvement

Work with project managers to develop budgets for special programs

Act as responsible individual for the approval of significant corporate expense checks

Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress

Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction

Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation

Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors

Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics

Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

 

Head of Operations Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as Director of Operations or equivalent position
Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines

In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)

Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

Familiarity with MS Office, SaleForce and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)

BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred)

10+ years’ experience in a leadership role

Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Effective decision making skills

Experience with developing budgets and writing business plans
